Eclectic and versatile composer and songwriter for film, television, and media, Adriano Aponte grew up in Napoli (Italy) and has been always fascinated by the craft of film scoring and its tradition. After his studies in piano and composition in Italy, where he also had the opportunity to study with acclaimed composer and conductor Franco Piersanti at the Philharmonic Academy of Rome, Adriano moved to the U.S. and then Spain to hone his musical skills.

Awarded the European Scholarship, Aponte studied Film Scoring and Conducting at Berklee College of Music in Boston and then received his Master's degree in Scoring for Film, Television, and Video Games (Summa Cum Laude) from Berklee Valencia Campus where he also worked as Music Technology Graduate Assistant. He is a former Professor in Composition for Screen at Conservatorio di Musica Santa Cecilia in Rome at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Aponte has been recently selected as a BAFTA Connect Member and is also an ACMF member.

Recent works include the score for the British-African film The Backway (starring BAFTA nominated actor Babou Ceesay), the successful Rai primetime TV docu-series Nuovi Eroi (hosted by Veronica Pivetti), Rai primetime docu-TV-show Presa Diretta (hosted by Riccardo Iacona), and the Rai primetime factual-TV show Così è la vita (hosted by Francesca Fialdini). He wrote the soundtrack for the feature film The Truth (starring Francesco Montanari) available on Amazon Prime Video with the score recorded at Magyar Studio 22 in Budapest and performed by the Budapest Scoring Symphonic Orchestra, the Giffoni Film Festival, and Nastri d'Argento winning docu-film Sad Letters (starring Leo Gullotta), and the Rai short feature film Fame (starring Ludovica Nasti) winner of the XV Jerry Goldsmith Awards (2023) for Best Music in a Feature Short Film.  Aponte scored the animated short movie Boarding the Ark with the soundtrack recorded at Abbey Road Studios (Studio 1) in London, conducting members of the English Session Orchestra. 

Adriano's music is featured in the Netflix TV Series Savage Beauty, the TV trailer for the Primetime Emmy Awards-winning Animated Sitcom South Park ~ Season 25, the trailer campaign for the Amazon Prime Video fantasy TV series The Lord of the Rings: The Power of the Rings, the trailer campaign for the Disney+ fantasy TV series Willow, the TV promo for the BBC TV series The Bridge, the 93rd Oscars Live Ceremony's TV promo for Sky TV, the advertising campaign for the HBO TV series His Dark Materials, the Paramount Pictures' horror feature film Spell, as well as the reality TV-show The voice: La plus belle vox aired on TF1

He composed the music for the XIII Jerry Goldsmith Awards (2019) nominated (Best Score for Advertising) Vimto's multi-channel advertising, and the Hollywood Music in Media Awards (2022) winner (Best Music: Dramatic/Crime) and Music+Sound Awards (2021) nominated (Best Use of Production Music > TV Trailer/Promos) Sky TV Promo for Mystery Season TV show (hosted by Laurence Fishburne).

Aponte performed his music several times at the Italian Cultural Institute of Los Angeles in particular to celebrate the 150° Anniversary of the Unification of Italy, the 60° Anniversary of volunteer service for the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra Association, and to welcome the Hon. Consul General of Italy as well as all Consular Corps. members in Los Angeles. According to the Event Chair Mirella Ventress and President Kay Sidhu, "Adriano Aponte was certainly the best and ideal music ambassador Italy can provide…". In May 2018, the multi-award-winning docu-film Sad Letters was screened at the European Parliament in Brussels, where Adriano and part of the cast were hosted and rewarded by the European parliamentarians panel. Adriano's works have been screened at international film festivals such as Cannes, Venice, Giffoni, Clermont-Ferrand, and many others.
